Description: | Below is an overview by Mark Shafer of the results of the automated quality
assurance procedure applied to the Oklahoma Mesonet data.
PROBLEMS SITES:
---------------
CLAY LEAF failed numerous range tests throughout the entire month.
Not issued a trouble-ticket until April 22, 1996. Ongoing
problem which began at least as early as September 1995.
MADI WSPD sporadically reported values of -7999 from the 16th - 20th.
The QA caught the bad obs, but the sensor seemed "jumpy"
during this time so I would excercise a little extra
caution if using this site from that time frame. The
readings also affected WVEC and WSSD. WDIR looked ok,
but meaningless without the vector magnitude (WVEC).
Otherwise it was just the normal inversions creating some erroneous
suspect flags on TAIR and RELH, especially for MEDI and CHEY. The
serious flags all looked fine. |
