Description:
Below is an overview from Chris Fiebrich, the Mesonet QA manager
of the automated quality assurance results for the November 1998
Oklahoma Mesonet data. 

There are a few special events that were flagged by the automatic qa that 
you may want to be aware of.  These include:

11/08   KETC     TA9M          Overcast conditions kept temperatures at
                               approximately 48 degrees all day long;
                               this caused our persistence program to 
                               flag the data.  Disregard the flags.
        SULP     TAIR          Same as above

11/23   BBOW     WS2M          Completely calm conditions held the 2-m 
                               wind speed at 0.0 m/s all day long;
                               this caused our persistence program to
                               flag the data.  Disregard the flags.
 
11/26   CHEY     TAIR          Strong low-level inversion caused many 
sites
        MEDI     TAIR          which "poked" into the warmer air to be
        MINC     TAIR          spatially inconsistent with neighboring 
        RETR     TAIR          stations.  You can disregard the flags for
        SPEN     RELH, TAIR    these stations.

discovered by analyzing the monthly-averaged fields.
