Subject: | AWR/MPLCMASK/M1 - Reprocess: Software Error |
DataStreams: | awr30smplcmask1zwangM1.c1
|
Description: | The MPLCMASK VAP was expecting the MPL to be covered around local solar noon. As a result,
the algorithm intermittently set much of the data to -9999 during this time period after
the site transitioned to total darkness during the winter months. During the peak of
this problem, the impacted fields were set to -9999 from approximately 0:00-2:19 UTC each day.
This information is being provided in a transparent DQR due to the intermittent nature of
the problem and the fact that the impacted data are already set to -9999 and flagged by
the automated quality control variables in the VAP.
A future reprocessing task will correct this problem. |
Suggestions: | Please be aware that this problem will likely impact some statistics computed from
this data, as there could have been clouds present during the intermittent -9999 periods.
Please check data from other datastreams such as the awrmplpolfsM1.b1 and awrceilM1.b1
datastreams for comparison. |
