Description: | In an effort to fix a problem with the instrument tube and head heaters the logger board was replaced. This got us heading down a long and arduous path. In the end it turned out the instrument electronics were badly corroded. The instrument was repaired and placed back into service on 20170111. The gap between the end date of this DQR and date it was placed back in service will be filled with a missing data DQR. The fundamental problem covered by this DQR are elevated and over-ranging signals that we believed were caused by incorrect gain resistors, but several attempts to resolve the problem by changing resistors were unsuccessful. Again, the ultimate issue was the corrosion. The mentors recommend not using data covered by this DQR. |
Suggestions: | The SGP E13 and C1 MFRSRs provide similar data. |
