Description:	This sounding was done in NORMAL (as opposed to RESEARCH mode for winds as well as for the thermodynamic variables. The ARM "normal" process is to use RESEARCH processing for the winds. The wind data included in this data file will have been subjected to the Vaisala processing algorithms and will appear somewhat smoother than our typical sounding. The horizontal convergence and tendency algorithms we use include their own wind smoothing algorithms. These may be affected by using this data set.
