The current dlprofwind4news VAP generates time- and height-resolved estimates of wind 
speed, wind direction, and corresponding uncertainties from Doppler lidar PPI scans. A recent 
comparison with a heavily instrumented tall tower (BAO) has shown that the error 
estimates are biased low and exhibit poor correlation with the observed lidar-tower differences.

affected by this issue.
