ENA/MWRP/C1 - Reprocess: Calibration drift
DataStreams:enamwrpC1.b1
Description:
The data are incorrect mostly because of fast drift in the calibration. Brightness
temperatures become negative after 9/7/2015.
Measurements:enamwrpC1.b1:
  • Water vapor, tot. precipitable, from Tbright, 23.835 & 30.0 GHz, stat. retrvl.(totalPrecipitableWater2)
  • Microwave brightness temperature(brightnessTemperature)
  • Density, water vapor, prof. from sfc.-10 km, der. from Tbright stat. retrvl.(waterVaporDensity)
  • Humidity, relative, prof. from sfc.-10km, from water vap. dens. and temp. prof.(relativeHumidity)
  • Mixing ratio, water vap., vert. prof. sfc-10km, frm retr. water vap. dens. prof(waterVaporMixingRatio)
  • Liquid water path, from Tbright at 23.835 and 30.0 GHz only, using stat. retrvl.(liquidWaterPath2)
  • Liquid water path, from brightness temperatures using statistical retrieval(liquidWaterPath)
  • Water vapor, total precipitable, derived from Tbright using stat. retrvl.(totalPrecipitableWater)

ENA/MWRP/C1 - Occasional outages of surface T/RH readings
DataStreams:enamwrpC1.b1
Description:
Occasionally the surface temperature and relative humidity readings are not updated and
the measurements appear flat for short times. The primary data are most likely not affected
because the surface measurements are flatlined for short intervals when big changes are
not expected.
Measurements:enamwrpC1.b1:
  • Pressure, barometric. at instrument height (1 or 2 m)(surfacePressure)
  • Temperature, air, at instrument height (1 or 2 m)(surfaceTemperature)
  • Humidity, relative, at instrument height (1 or 2 m)(surfaceRelativeHumidity)
  • Density, water vapor, at instrument height (1 or 2 m)(surfaceWaterVaporDensity)

ENA/SONDE/C1 - Reprocessed and Corrected: Incorrect station surface value
DataStreams:enasondewnpnC1.b1
Description:
DATA REPROCESSED and CORRECTED:

The surface altitude was mistakenly set to 106 meters, while the correct value is 30.5
meters. This value has been corrected in the raw data. This change invalidates all altitude
data in each sonde launch during this time period.

ORIGINAL DQR CATEGORY: Red( Incorrect)

REPROCESSED and CORRECTED DATA ARCHIVED:2016-04-12

REPROCESS IDENTIFICATION NUMBER: RID 1400

---------------------------------------------------
--- ORIGINAL DQR DESCRIPTION ---
---------------------------------------------------
Station surface value was changed mistakenly. This change invalidates all altitude data in
each sonde launch during the time period stated.
Measurements:enasondewnpnC1.b1:
  • Altitude above mean sea level(alt)

ENA/C1 - Reprocess: Slightly incorrect location fields
DataStreams:enagndrad60sC1.b1, enaskyrad60sC1.b1, enasondewnpnC1.b1
Description:
Some of the instruments are being processed with the previous "GRW-Azores" lat/lon/alt
instead of the new "ENA-Azores" lat/lon/alt. The differences are minor, but will be
corrected. The respective GRW and ENA lat, lon, and alt values are as follows:

GRW  lat = 39.0911 ;
ENA lat = 39.0916 ;
GRW  lon = -28.0297 ;
ENA  lon = -28.0257 ;
GRW  alt = 26 ;
ENA  alt = 30.48 ;
Measurements:enagndrad60sC1.b1:
  • East longitude(lon)
  • North latitude(lat)
  • Altitude above mean sea level(alt)

enaskyrad60sC1.b1:
  • North latitude(lat)
  • East longitude(lon)
  • Altitude above mean sea level(alt)

enasondewnpnC1.b1:
  • East longitude(lon)

  • North latitude(lat)
