after launch (971.1) and the value of surface pressure entered by the
operator (976.8) is larger than usual. I note that soundings done at
0530 and 1130 have surface pressures of 973.2. It may be a typographic
error by the operator, jarring of the sensor at launch, or mis-identification
of the start time by the system. In any event, the absolute altitudes
for this sounding will be wrong, and the ascent rates during the first
30 seconds also will be too high. |
