ASI/ECOR/M1 - ECOR Flux Measurements - Use With Caution
DataStreams:asi30ecorM1.b1
Description:
The location of the ECOR exposes it to ocean influences for most east through south wind
directions, as well as significant upslope winds.

The w (vertical) wind speed is 2 to 3 times what would be expected for flat terrain and
the reported horizontal wind speed. The elevation angle measurement is 5 to 6 degrees,
which can not be completely adjusted for by the two dimensional coordinate rotations applied
in the data acquisition algorithms.
Suggestions:
The fluxes measured by the ECOR are apparently overestimated for sensible and latent

heat fluxes and underestimated for CO2 flux.

Furthermore, the fluxes may include information from the ocean as well as information from the land surface.
