Subject: | SGP/SIRS/E19 - Instrument mux problem |
DataStreams: | sgpsirsE19.b1, sgpsirs20sE19.a0
|
Description: | Beginning 7/31, the upwelling_longwave_hemispheric data were intermittent with periods of
erratic and missing data typically during daylight hours. A multiplexer was found to be
the problem and replaced 8/31 1630GMT. |
Suggestions: | Bad data are not recoverable during this time range. However, good data exists within
the time range specified. The SGPQCRAD VAP datastream provides flags for "good" data
and appears to accurately flag bad data during this time range. Users are advised to use
this data stream to screen for correct up_long_hemisp values. |
