| Description: | Afer recovery from lightning strike the upwelling longwave SIRS Eppley PIR (UIR) had noise on both dome and case thermistor measurements. On 4/12/2006 techs replaced defective j-panel at base of tower. Noise didn't appear to have a bias but standard deviation went from 12-13 W/m2 during noisy period back to .75-1.5W/m2 after noise problem was eliminated. Described in instrument DQR D060403.4 |
