MAO/NFOV/M1 - Instrument problem, channel 870 nm

There is a problem with channel 870 that became progressively worse as the Brazil 
deployment progressed.  From time-to-time channel 870 appears to "float."  At night it's easy to 
identify, but during the day not so much as the problem is "disguised" as real data.

At this point the mentor doesn't have a good idea on how to screen out bad data, or 

if that's even possible.  Please contact the mentor if interested and possible strategies 
can be discussed.
