| Description: | The difference between the first pressure value reported by the radiosonde
aloft (957.9) and the surface value entered by the operator (962.6) is
greater than would be expected normally. This may indicate that the sonde
was jarred at launch or that the system mis-identified the launch start
time. The altitude values for this sounding will be incorrect as will be
the ascent rates in the first 30 seconds. If the reported ascent rates
exceed 12 m/s, the thermodynamic data will be interpolated rather than
sampled. |
