Subject: | SGP/TWR/C1 - Temperature Flat-lined |
DataStreams: | sgp1twr25mC1.b1, sgp1twr60mC1.b1, sgp1twr10xC1.b1 |
Description: | At times, the southeast side 25 m 10X temperature data appear abnormally constant when compared to the data from the west side 25m temperature measurement. It typically happens during periods of little temperature change. This condition has occurred for both the 25 and 60 m levels on both sides of the tower (25m, 60m, 10X datastreams), but is most common for the southeast side 25 m 10X measurement, and has occurred on the tower in general, since measurements began in 1993. The aspiration of the 10X aspirator units is somewhat lower than for the 25m and 60m measurements, and may be a contributing factor. However, nothing can really be done about this, as the aspiration flow is standard. The user needs to be aware that this flat-line condition can occur and you should perhaps use the temperature data from the other side of the tower instead during those times. |
