Description:
Instrument mentor analysis of the TIP data from 2/10/1996-2/14/1996 and found that the 
calibration of the microwave radiometer and did NOT need to be changed.

The results are as follows:

However, the deviations about the mean were considerably larger in the 31 GHz channel than 
the 23 GHz: 0.82 vs 0.14 K, respectively. Consequently the 31 GHz brightness temperature 
also showed considerably greater variation than the 23 GHz brightness temperature.

The precipitable vapor shows good agreement with the colocated soundings, but instrument 
mentor recommends caution in using these data.

The instrument was shipped to the manufacture and 31.4 GHz gunn fiode oscillator was 
replaced by Radiometrics.
