Subject:
MFRSR Calibration Drift
DataStreams:twpmfrsrC1.a1
Description:
Through this period we see significant drift in all
of the MFRSR channels except the 862 nm channel. The
most serious drift occurred in the 610 and 665 nm channels which
suffered a loss in sensitivity of a factor of 5 or more over the
affected period. The MFRSR head was replaced on August 27, 1997 during a
RESET visit.
Measurements:twpmfrsrC1.a1:
  • Hemispheric Broadband Irradiance (Approximate), MFRSR(hemisp_broadband)
  • altitude above sea levelaltunits(alt)
  • Fields flagged by callang: 0 = no flag\n,(callang_flags)
  • Diffuse Hemispheric Broadband Irradiance (Approximate), MFRSR(diffuse_hemisp_broadband)
  • Direct Normal Irradiance, Uncalibrated Silicon Detector, NIMFR(direct_norm_broadband)
  • MFRSR Detector Temperature(mfrsr_temp)
  • east longitude for all the input platforms.(lon)
  • Direct Normal Irradiance, NIMFR(direct_norm_narrowband)
  • Diffuse Hemispheric Irradiance, MFRSR(diffuse_hemisp_narrowband)
  • Time offset of tweaks from base_time(time_offset)
  • Cosine of Solar Zenith Angle(cosine_solar_zenith_angle)
  • Data Logger Supply Voltage(logger_volt)
  • north latitude for all the input platforms.(lat)
  • Hemispheric Irradiance, MFRSR(hemisp_narrowband)
  • Time offset from base_time(base_time)
