Subject: | SGP/EBBR/E20 - Incorrect Sensible and Latent Heat Fluxes - a result of low battery voltage. |
DataStreams: | sgp5ebbrE20.b1, sgp15ebbrE20.b1, sgp30ebbrE20.b1
|
Description: | Supply voltage sometimes dropped too low at night, causing incorrect measurements of
sensible and latent heat fluxes, pressure, AEM home signal, and soil heat flow. |

Subject: | SGP/EBBR/E13 - Net Radiation Too Large |
DataStreams: | sgp5ebbrE13.b1, sgp15ebbrE13.b1, sgp30ebbrE13.b1
|
Description: | The EBBR Net Radiation (Rn) values maintained a ~200 Wm^-2 reading because of poor cable
lead connections. Sensible and latent heat fluxes were therefore overestimated.
Sensible (H) and latent heat (LE) fluxes can be estimated in the following way:
H (new) = H/[1 + (EBBR Rn - SIRS net radiation)/SIRS net radiation]
LE (new) = LE/[1 + (EBBR Rn - SIRS net radiation)/SIRS net radiation] |
Measurements: | sgp15ebbrE13.b1:
sgp5ebbrE13.b1: - Radiation, net(net_radiation)
sgp30ebbrE13.b1: - Heat flux, sensible, at 1.5-m height, 30-min intervals(sensible_heat_flux)
- Radiation, net(net_radiation)
- Heat flux, latent, at 1.5-m height, 30-min intervals(latent_heat_flux)
