Subject: | SGP/SIRS/E33 - Instrument noise problem |
DataStreams: | sgpsirs20sE33.a0, sgpsirsE33.b1 |
Description: | The UIR instrument (up_long_hemisp) had significant noise starting from the commission date. On 8/14/2012 15:59 the UIR was replaced which corrected the noise problem. |

Subject: | SGP/SIRS/E33 - Instrument noise problem |
DataStreams: | sgpsirsE33.b1, sgpsirs20sE33.a0 |
Description: | During troubleshooting of the UIR (up_long_hemisp) the UIR and DIR (down_long_hemsip) pyrgeometers were swapped to help isolate an instrument noise issue. After this swap it was determined that the noise was associated with this specific instrument. For the time range specified 8/14 to 8/17 the DIR data are not recoverable since the instrument was faulty (it was the old bad UIR). The instrument was replaced with spare on 8/17. |

Subject: | SGP/SIRS/E33 - Reprocess: Incorrect UIR calibration |
DataStreams: | sgpsirs20sE33.a0, sgpsirsE33.b1 |
Description: | During troubleshooting of the UIR (up_long_hemisp) the UIR and DIR (down_long_hemsip) pyrgeometers were swapped to help isolate an instrument noise issue. The replacement UIR instrument installed on 8/14 had incorrect calibration coefficients applied. The serial number was correct. wrong UIR k1 cal = 0.2376 correct UIR k1 cal = 0.2451 Data from 8/14 to 9/26 will be reprocess. |

Description: | During troubleshooting of the UIR (up_long_hemisp) the UIR and DIR (down_long_hemsip) pyrgeometers were swapped to help isolate an instrument noise issue. That swap resulted in bad DIR data from 8/14-8/17 (documented in D121010.1) A replacement DIR instrument installed on 8/17 had incorrect calibration coefficients applied. The serial number was correct. wrong DIR k1 cal = 0.2967 correct DIR k1 cal = 0.3086 Data from 8/17 to 9/26 will be reprocess. |

Description: | During the time range specified the UIR and DIR serial numbers are correct but incorrect calibration coefficients were applied in the datalogger. up_long_hemisp (SN# 30058F3) wrong k1 cal :0.2679 W/(m^2*uV) correct k1 cal: 0.2740 W/(m^2*uV) down_long_hemisp (SN# 30085F3) wrong k1 cal :0.2376 W/(m^2*uV) correct k1 cal: 0.2451 W/(m^2*uV) Data will be reprocessed. |

Subject: | SGP/SIRS/E33 - Obstruction |
DataStreams: | sgpsirs20sE33.a0, sgpsirsE33.b1 |
Description: | Shading of the PSP and NIP radiometers occurred after sunrise each day of the reported date period, during the time between 1145 and 1215 UTC. Issue is present in the downwelling shortwave hemispheric and shortwave direct normal variables. The shading was caused by the presence of an antenna that was later relocated. Data is to be reprocessed and designated as missing for the affected time period each day. |
