Description: | The indicated dome temperature and heat sink temperature were unreasonably high. The
control board and serial adaptor were replaced and the instrument was shipped to Darwin for
repair where the following was performed:
- changed out 12V battery,
- changed out faulty TT8 processor s/n 939476 with spare s/n 939476,
- installed new model Lantronix EDS1100 serial to ethernet adapter,
- modified board to adapter data connection to suit new adapter,
- changed out two faulty temperature sensors (heatsink and dome),
- changed out corroded heatsink fan and faulty wiring,
- replaced damaged heater wiring,
- removed corrosion and re-painted camera bracket,
- waxed and polished dome mirror and whole instrument body. |
